My children all love Curious Roots Forest School. They really struggled to attend any holiday clubs until we found Curious Roots Forest School, but after that I couldn't keep them away! They thoroughly enjoy the activities (both the normal forest school and the mine craft-based one) and the leaders are second-to-none. They are all, and especially Millie, supportive and empathic and go out of their way to ensure all children, regardless of any learning needs or neurodiversity are welcomed, included and enabled to get involved in the activities as much as they wish. My children come home from the forest school enthused, excited and with loads of new facts and information along with understanding of themselves and the world around them. Thank you.

When I first heard about Curious Roots from a friend, I wasn’t sure what to expect or what my children were going to make of being outside in a forest all day long! However, as soon as I met Milly with her enthusiasm, energy and imagination, I knew they would have the best time! Curious Roots has become a firm favourite for school holidays and the children always come back full of stories of dragon scales, dens and fairies, not forgetting toasting marshmallows on the campfire…. always a highlight.
Curious Roots is such a breath of fresh air and a welcomed change to battling against screen time! Children can be children; use their imagination, be active, try out new skills, learn about nature and build their confidence and independence in a new environment.
I couldn’t recommend Curious Roots enough. Whatever the weather, my children always come out happy, smiling…….and usually pretty muddy too!

I have been hearing from Thomas and James what a fantastic day they have had. They are full of lots of stories about what they have been doing and have absolutely loved it! Thank you so much, it sounds like a fantastic day, they asked to go again this week!
I especially wanted to say thank you for all the thought you put in to enabling Thomas to to come and for me to feel he was in safe hands and not worry (too much!). You honestly put my mind at rest; taking the time to listen to me, talk through plans and covering every eventuality, even moving the location. With your reassurance, skills and planning I am so grateful that he was able to come and join in something I wasn’t sure he could do.
They would love to come back again so please do send me details of future courses. Hope to see you again soon and enjoy the rest of your week.

Thanks again, I think this is truly the best thing I've ever seen available for the kids to do outside school!

had a brilliant day. Jacob has 3 younger siblings and Thomas/Fred have an older brother who has some autistic tendencies and is fast becoming a difficult grumpy teenager so they are all pretty resilient boys.
Fred found a baby field vole on the road yesterday and has it in a box feeding it as it was cold and weak and still had its eyes closed. We have warmed it with a hot water bottle and it is charging about with a new lease of life. He was meant to release it tonight back near where he found it as its eating well but came back sobbing that he just couldn't do it so "John" appears to be staying a bit longer. He really does love the outdoor life. He wants to be a forest warden currently!
Jacob loved it and asked if he could stay at our house again next Tuesday, he said it has to be Tuesday so he can come to Forest school with us again on Wednesday!! I have left it with his Mum (Charlotte Gibbs) to book if she wants to. I have paid for him for today as a treat. (Just paid you online for yesterday x1 and today x3)
Thank you so much for running such a wonderful event. It is the boys favourite summer holiday camp.
